Tara Minerals Corp. (OTC: TARM, BERLIN: 6T3) has positioned itself with cash to advance its US and Mexico project pipeline towards 2013 production.
Don Roman -- Central Processing Mill and 70+ Mineralized Structures
Tara Minerals currently has capacity to produce gold, silver, zinc, and lead concentrate from its 100% owned Don Roman mill. The mill comprises of three parallel circuits, each with 120 t/d capacity. Engineering work is under way to expand capacity, in a phase in manner, to 2,000+ t/d. Past results have identified numerous mineralzied veins with some averaging grades of 309 grams per tonne silver, 9% zinc, and 3% lead. Tara has cash on hand for an aggressive, district wide, work program to define these structure and advance them to production.
San Felipe -- Gold and Silver Discovery
A significant gold and silver quartz vein has been discovered 1.5 kms southeast of the Don Roman mill. Channel samples returned an average grade of 10.06 grams per tonne gold and 149.85 grams per tonne silver. The structure has a known strike length of approximately 850 meters and an exposed vertical height of approximately 400 meters. The vein remains open both along strike and at depth.
Ponderosa Project -- Dixie Mining District of central Idaho, US
The Ponderosa land package consists of 6,721 acres of both patented and unpatented mining claims. The claims include previously mined veins with historic sampling of the exposed outcrops averaging 14 grams/tonne Au. Tara’s initial focus is to assess the previously unmined veins for their near-term production potential.
Adit Resources Corp. -- Picacho Gold and Silver Property
The Picacho group of concessions consists of 7,060 hectares and is located in Sonora, Mexico, 100 km south of the U.S.A border. The area has a high level of exploration activity, is close to a national paved highway, power grid, and a 1,200 m airstrip. Nine gold-bearing veins over four mineralized target areas with an aggregate strike length of over 10.8 km have been identified at Picacho. In addition, 5,300 meters of drilling along only 600 meters of the vein system, has returned true width intercepts including 11.3 m of 15.6 g/t gold, 6.1 m of 4.7 g/t gold, and 9.4 m of 7.8 g/t gold.
Tara Mineral continues to actively pursue future growth opportunities by acquiring additional exploration, development and production assets. Tara Minerals is in a strong position to acquire additional opportunities due to its established office and relationships in Mexico.
